Teaching and Learning

Teaching and Learning is the area in which the teacher is supposed to deliver the instruction in which the students are learning. This area will be ideally targeted if the instruction was given and the students will actively participate. This will allow the teacher to act as a facilitator and a menthor for the students who will be able to use the gain skills in different assignments. According to the STaR Chart Summaries this is the are in which we need more improvement because we are mostly in the developing tech area which is described as "instruction is teacher-directed and there is minimal use of technology in foundation TEKS, etc." I think that the summaries show trends towards the infrastructure of technology and this is great because if the teachers have the support and the tools needed to implement technology into their instruction then we should have a better result in the area of teaching and learning. In order to improve in this area it would be necessary for the teachers to deliver their instruction in a way in which they make sure that the students interact at all times with the teacher and are allowed to use their knowledge in different areas using different technology devices.
